Meet the Founder

My formation as a chaplain and spiritual care provider integrates clinical experience, theological education, and compassionate, holistic care. I earned my Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and completed ACPE clinical pastoral education in hospital and veteran healthcare settings.

My professional experience spans women’s health, pediatrics, family care, and veteran services, with specialized attention to grief, trauma, and bereavement. My approach is grounded in compassionate presence, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to honoring each individual’s spiritual and lived experiences.

Where Healing Becomes Legacy

Who We Are

SacredMend Foundation for Healing & Legacy, Inc. is a community-centered, faith-informed nonprofit organization dedicated to making compassionate grief care, maternal wellness, postpartum support, and community chaplaincy accessible and affordable.

Through partnerships with churches, local organizations, and community leaders, we provide low-cost and community-supported services for individuals and families navigating grief, pregnancy and infant loss, bereavement, and significant life transitions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap in access to compassionate emotional and spiritual care by providing affordable, culturally responsive grief support, maternal wellness services, and community-based chaplaincy. Through education, advocacy, and meaningful partnerships with churches and local communities, we strive to ensure that no individual or family must navigate grief, loss, or life's most vulnerable transitions without support, dignity, and hope.

Our Commitment

We believe healing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, religious affiliation, or background. We are committed to creating sacred spaces where individuals and families feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journeys.

Compassionate Care. Accessible Healing. Lasting Legacy.

Our Mission

To provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed chaplaincy and spiritual care that supports individuals, families, and organizations through grief, life transitions, and emotional and spiritual challenges. Through holistic care and intentional presence, we create sacred spaces where healing, dignity, and restoration are honored.

Our Vision

To redefine how compassionate care is experienced by cultivating communities where emotional and spiritual well-being are prioritized, grief is met with understanding, and individuals and families are empowered to navigate life's transitions with resilience, hope, and renewed purpose.

Our Philosophy

We believe healing is not simply about moving beyond what has been lost, but about honoring what remains, embracing what is becoming, and creating space for restoration and legacy.
